"I will first mention the positives: this seller was able to provide for me a DVD that is not obtainable anywhere and for that I am grateful. True, the somewhat lesser quality of the picture and sound and the presence of the station logo in the corner are clear signs that the seller has simply DVRed this film off of a television broadcast, burned it to a blank DVD and sold it (almost definitely illegally) but, under the circumstances, I'm inclined to overlook all of this because he is providing a product that cannot be obtained at all via other channels.
My biggest issues with my purchase are with the lack of care with which the seller produces his wares. It took the seller 4 days to even put the package in the mail and, in those 4 days, he burned the film to a blank DVD, scribbled a barely readable title, "The Art Of Love," onto the front in sharpie using penmanship skills that my 5-year-old nephew could probably outperform, put the disk in a standard CD-sized jewel case with no slip cover and put it in the mail. When I tried out the disk the quality was as-expected for a recording of a television broadcast but there was no menu, chapters or any of the niceties than one expects from a DVD and can easily be added using free software with very little effort.
The price on this product is $13.75 (I see that he has since raised it to $14.50) which is more than I pay for most mass-produced DVDs and, for that money, the production value is really very poor. Upon receiving the item, which was intended as a gift, it took me less than 10 minutes to transfer the sloppily labeled disk to a full-sized DVD jewel case and create, print and insert an proper slip cover for the case so that it looked like a proper DVD. For this price, that's 10 minutes that the seller should have spent. Had he taken the time to properly package and label the product, I would have given a much higher rating."
