Great international hockey rivalry at its best!
RARE Footage!!!
1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, Austria.
Gold medal game between Soviet Union and Czechoslovakia, February 14, 1976 ( + medal ceremony right after the game)

Phenomenal game, full of twists and turns!!! Two best goaltenders between the pipes and two best teams on the ice!!!
The Czechoslovakian team suffered from influenza throughout the tournament, and they finished the game against Poland (on February 10th) with only twelve players on the bench.
However, by the February 14th they were all pumped up and ready to fight for Olympic gold. The only thing standing between them and gold medals was Soviet team.
Most players on Russian team played against Team Canada few years earlier in the legendary 1972 Summit Series (as well as in 1974 Series against the best WHA players).

Team USSR roster:
Vladislav Tretiak, Alexander Gusev, Vladimir Lutchenko, Sergei Babinov, Yuri Liapkin, Valeri Vasiliev, Gennadiy Tsygankov, Sergei Kapustin, Alexander Maltsev, Viktor Shalimov, Boris Aleksandrov, Boris Mikhailov, Vladimir Petrov, Valeri Kharlamov, Victor Zhluktov, Alexander Yakushev, Vladimir Shadrin, Aleksander Sidelnikov

Team CSSR roster:
Jiri Holecek, Oldrich Machac, Milan Chalupa, Frantisek Pospisil, Miroslav Dvorak, Milan Kajkl, Jiri Bubla, Milan Novy, Vladimir Martinec, Jiri Novak, Josef Augusta, Bohuslav Stastny, Jiri Holik, Eduard Novak, Ivan Hlinka, Jaroslav Pouzar, Boguslav Ebermann.

Great game for any hockey fan to enjoy.

There is no commentaries - only the sounds of the game.
The quality is not excellent by today's standards, but very good for a 35 years old game.
