hi i bought a few for my family members and when i asked they said that they were original and come with authenticity holograms.. i wouldnt want to buy fake after i heard how the fake ones give electric shocks and they are really unsafe. are you from sydney?

oh ok well the first one i bought ended up being a copy so i recieved my money back for that (I sent it back) the other ones i bought for family members so i didnt try and check up on the GHD website when i checked the one that i have it came up but that doesnt matter because they do give you codes that come up on the website even if they are fake. The way yopu can tell a fake GHD id the heating of it, my original one heats up extremely well but the fake one hardly heated up at all, also the ceramic plates, authentic ones are real ceramic and cannot get scratched easy, where as the fake one i first bought used to scratch evry time it touched my hair, you get to know all this once you have been stuffed around so many times

yes, the few that i purchased recently of one seller are authentic although they are alot more expensive then 4 for $100 but honestly their worth it, it wont damage your hair or anything. The only one i bought fake was the first GHD i bought from here, just be careful some sellers say authentic and they are 100% fake hope i helped a little  takecare let me know if you need anything
