0 PicturesThanks for stopping by! I recently graduated from the University of North Carolina with a BA in Art History. I am continually intriqued by word and image relationships ever-present in art. A theme that has influenced many of my academic projects. One of my primary projects focus on the 16th century Elizabethan miniatures “portrait paintings” of Nicholas Hilliard, court painter for Queen Elizabeth I. A combination of jewel, love token and secular portrait, the miniature integrated the techniques of manuscript illustration with the ornamental detail of a goldsmith. In my future work I hope to show how Hilliard's portrait miniatures were used at the court of Elizabeth in a persuasive visual exchange comparable to the verbal structure of classical rhetoric.
I enjoy thrifting and have acquired an impressive collection of couture vintage clothing over the years!
Hobbies: Classic films, thrifting, art museums, auctions, roaming the Biltmore Estate, opera, travel, music
What I like to collect: Fine vintage clothing ranging from 1920-1970. Costume that is intriquing in design and of exceptional quality.
What I like to buy: The gamet of designer and vintage clothing/accessories!
