Hi There.

Thanks for your reply. With regards to the transfer of '999' I suppose I would have been wiser to wait until I have seen the whole movie. As I said i have only watched the opening sequence to see if it worked or not. From what little i saw the print looked a little beat up and there was that 'IHF' bubble in the corner which i found a little distracting. Haven't seen that on too many movies. Other then that I based my opinion on reviews offered by people online who had purchased the film from IHF at a much higher price then that on ioffer. It seems many of those people were dissapointed. Having said all of that I agree with you that its good that such a rare film is available at all. Perhaps its all just a matter of perspective Happy Anyway, I would be interested in your thoughts on '317th platoon' I will share my own thoughts on the movies you sent in more detail when I've had a chance to watch them. I'm going to start with 'Tuntematon Sotilas' which as i said before looks promising. I'm working on tracking down a few more Finnish war films that are unavailable here. I can certainly let you know how that works out. Hope to hear from you again.Jun-07-2008

Hi.
Well I can't give you much in terms of impressions yet. I only tested the discs to see if they worked. I can tell you that I was already impressed with what I saw of 'Tuntematon Sotilas'. I think it will have a much different feel to it then the 85 version (actually heard ther was another remake of this released in 2007)

'...999' looked as though it could be a good movie but wasn't impressive as a transfer. I have actually not heard good things about IHF in terms of the quality of their transfers. In fact i was told from a reputable source that they have a lot of stuff that they sell that is technically 'public domain.' they charge a lot for it to boot. So while I would aviod buying their product I'm sure i will enjoy it as a trade. anyway will write you with more thoughts after i've seen them. Keep me posted on your package HappyJun-05-2008

Hi.

Again don't add to your stress level on my account. Send whenever you can. Only way to exchange e-mail addy's is via mail with the discs. There's no hurray on covers. I'm not sure when I'll be able to get to a copy place myself so I will most likely have to send you a jpeg file. I'm confident the image quality will be all right though. I'll aim for friday. Contact you when its been posted. Cheers HappyMay-28-2008

Yikes! Sorry you're not feeling well. By all means don't get sicker on my account. Send off whenever ready. I'll message you when I've put yours in mail. If you're able to do likewise that would be great. That way I'll have an idea when to start checking the mail with baited breath Happy For the record you can just include discs/cover with some cardboard backing. Might save you on postage. Throw in your addy as well. Cheers HappyMay-27-2008
