I live in a small east Texas town about 200 miles north east of Galveston. We have six gas stations which had no gas by mid morning. We have only one large grocery store, a Brookshires. their shelves were almost empty by mid morning. We have only one red light in town and it is a four way. Police have been directing traffic all day. All of these evacuees need our help and prayers. There is still a hundred miles of of stop and go traffic coming out of Houston. Let's all say a prayer for the Texas and Louisana coasts.

I have been praying for those people since before the storm hit. Our son & daughter in law ,grandson and his wife live in Lake Jackson and Missouri City. They were very fortunate. They evacuated and then were able to go back Monday and Tuesday. They found a generator just as a man was bringing it back to Tractor Supply. He had found he didn't need it. What a blessing. They are now cleaning up all the tree limbs and some damage in our grandson's house. Sep-18-2008mary-carol
