I typed in Clarence A. O'Brien in Google and your page came up with a letter opener.
Am curious where it came from as I have one also and it has been in the family as far back as I can remember.
I would guess my father got it in 1930. Although the opener says Washington, D.C., my father lived in San Francisco in 1930. I have one opener myself. I have been family research and wondered if this Clarence could be a distant relative, but never found any information.
