Cruelty-free Shoppers & Animal Lovers
I thought this place could use a club for animal-loving friends who are committed to selling and buying cruelty-free items on iOffer, or anywhere else we trade. No animal-testing allowed here! Pull up a chair, bring your furry friends (or furry relatives) and stay a while. Welcome to a place where sellers and buyers can trade with a clear conscience, and discuss cruelty-free items, the humane treatment of animals (and humans), vegetarian/vegan products, wildlife protection from illegal trade, or any related topic. In respect for the subject, please do not list any products made from or containing animals and animal by-products for sale in this club. Do not list any product that has been tested on animals in laboratories. You may list non-leather items such as belts, wallets and bags, non-fur items, vegan/vegetarian cookbooks, books about animals, plant-based soy candles, plant-based soaps, or any appropriate item you wish to market to someone who is likely to view this club. Please do not display this club's icon in your profile if you're not committed to go cruelty-free in all your activities here on iOffer. If you decide to join, keep it positive. No pictures of animal testing, no fighting, etc. Save that for other boards elsewhere. But, feel free to post pictures of your pets, and list your items in the club if they fit into this category! Post wanted items, add your cruelty-free or vegetarian events, or just stop in to say hi. Please don't be scared away if you're not a vegetarian, though. You can be a meat-eater and still support bans on unnecessary and cruel animal testing, or support the humane treatment of animals, for example. We may not all agree on certain animal issues, but I hope we can all agree that during their lives, we need to treat them humanely, and not perform unnecessary, hurtful testing on them-- where there are already existing data and computer models to achieve the same end. There are so many horror stories in animal laboratory testing and in the production of animal products. For one example, in some cases, fur/skin producers will skin animals alive, leaving them fully conscious and shivering. In other cases, as you may have seen in the news, "leather" products-- bags, briefcases, shoes-- coming from overseas may include the skins of dogs-- which in the culture of my country (USA) is pretty repulsive. As human beings, we need to do and be better than that. I hope you will join me in refusing to participate in that suffering with our trade activities. It's fun.. kind of like ebay or one of those sites that lets you sell your things online. However, here there are no auctions. People have fixed prices or you can make an offer. Also, you can interact with people more in the "iOffer community" through clubs like this one, events, comments on member profiles, and ask questions right on the page of the items that people are selling.

The purpose of this club is to let everybody know about the killing and torture of animals that goes on in the world every day. What must be stopped is the unnecessary torture that these animals go through. The only way to do this is to cut out the profit in the furs, don't buy fur. And don't buy anything from countries that won't stop the torture. Notice: Some pictures posted in this club will be pretty hard to look at. I will try to give warning before they are posted.
