Im about to sell here. When I look at the iOffer fees it reads Effective MAY 1st 2004 Transaction amount (with shipping).Does this mean that pay a final value fee on the shipping costs as well as the final sales value of the item ? Please advise me? And if so , Why. Thank You , iMARK54

It's just like ebay. They take a percentage of the total received from buyer....that includes the postage payment.

I guess so!! LOL! PayPal has always taken a percentage of the total payment received....not just the purchase payment.

Dear Madcat , Hi, I dont mean to be a pest.I am not set up to recieve payment through paypal .I only accepted M O's and personal checks .Never had a problem ,lucky I guess .Read a lot of NEG stuff about paypal on the answer center that turned me off .I just posed the same question to the ebay community, and the answer I got there is, that ebay DOESNOT charge a final value fee on shipping costs . Is it that ebay with paypal does and ebay by MO's dosnt?

PayPal DOES charge on the total amount received. Ebay owns PayPal. I've been there for 7 yrs. and I can tell you they do. If you only take checks here, then you should only be charged ONLY for the purchase price....as I undertand it.
