I have just opened a store here and haven't really imported my ebay inventory as yet. Mr. Grabber gets confused with html.

I have over 1000 listings on ebay and I haven't sold a thing in 3 days. I haven't received a feedback or email either. I agree with the theory that ebay has revolving exposure. I can go a week without any store traffic or sales, and then sell $150/day for a few days.

I suspect that my negative voice on the boards isn't helping my popularity with Mr. feePay either.

    hi willow and kidd....

    thought I'd mention this:

....Tips to get successfully started on ioffer:

Try getting a MySpace page. You can link iOffer to it. Then advertise whatever you're selling on Craigslist & direct them to your MySpace page. Works like a charm!

Also use freewebs, bravehost, tribe, as free websites, then I blog on aol, msn,
You can go to myfreebanners.com and create yourself a banner to stick at the top of your webpages and blog sites, Makesure you include your link to your store.
Submit your site to free search engine submissions like dmoz (lots of others) Do it once a month to increase traffic.

found a good way to bring more people to Ioffer. Free url submission.

    well met,
since this is relatively new site. realisticly, it will take some time before we see the traffic we want through this forum. but we can always advertise ourselves.

I'm a new come here as of yesterday...but I am in such a niche field (historical costuming) that i have always had to push my own advertising to get customers.

I have used some of the same tactics described above in the prior reply.

    My suggestions are as follows:

My space and all other social networks. this is one of the best ways to get new customers for specific items. search the groups for topics that relate to what you sell & post your links there. (ex - I post in ren-fair and medieval groups for my costuming) so far most my hits come from my space, tribe, & face book

serch for free classifid sites. such as craigs list. there are TONS of them out their... place a link to yourstore in all clasifides you can.

register with all the search engins you can. many are free.

if you use ashipping program, or e-mail with all past buyers info, drop them a quick e-mail to let them know you have posted on another site other then e-bay as well. invite them to join.

use google base store connector. it is still in beta. but you can upload your listing to their serch database. this needs to be updated regularly. i do mine every 2 weeks

hope this helps out a little

I have a feeling that traffic will be picking up real soon. The boards over at feepay are a-buzz with disgruntled sellers who are moving here in droves.

I have never seen such an uproar in my 9 years on feepay!!!

ebay is our best advertiser! Approve

Hi I'm Julia.. Just moved in from ebay, I have sold on ebay sense 2001. I loved it at first, couldn't get enough of it. But wow what a difference it is today. I would say IT SUCKS!! So it was a big move, but I'm going to do it. I'm not a big seller, but I do love to sell. It's what I have done for so long, it would be hard to find something else I love so much. So I now find myself moving here and up river. I do hope it all works out for me. I'm getting my auctions and store items from ebay transfered here and up river. I just can't believe what ebay has done to us sellers. It's impossible to afford it now, and with the feedback changes and pp changes, well let's just say, I don't sell enough to put up with this c**p. I hope I do well here. ioffer needs to advertise and get this website vamped up!! It's step up so friendly and fun!! What a great place. Almost like old ebay.. Good luck to all the new sellers and lets get this website busy with buyers!

Thank you for giving us newbies this information! I think it will take time to get people visiting here - but anything is better than EBAY - Former Power Seller

My items and feedback have been requested - cool, what a time-saver. I am contacting my customers via message as the feedbacks arrive. Also: contact all of your former customers - I have built up a repeat business of over 30% repeat business and the customers will follow me - they don't care where they purchase their items -

It's going to take Patience, but hey it's better than getting screwed with the new Final Value Fees (up to 172% increase) and the horror of no Seller feedback other than Positives come May 1 - I'm so relieved to be gone from EBAY!

Hi There, I just moved over from Feepay as well. Tryed out (Removed by iOffer) and the store came out nice it looks good but zero traffic. I'm still waiting for my stuff to be transferred over. I'm hoping not to hear cricket bugs over here. My sales are not doing that great on Ebay it's usally much busier around Valentine's Day. I'm also doing double time on customer service with my Ebay customers. It appears to me that the buyers are confident enough to complain, return items & hope for freebies but not make purchases.
