Hoping to Jumpstart some motivation at Crafter's Corner for the New Year and make this a great year at the club.. .
Last year we had the WEC (Week End Challenge at Crafter's Corner which was very popular. It started off as a good thing and had many great members that took part, abidided by the rules, increased their sales and had loads of fun. But as it grew we had many members that came month after month with no intentions of following rules. Due to this, I cancelled the Challenge. I would like to start it up again maybe with a new twist or maybe just back as it was. I would love to hear from many of you first as to whether or not you would like to see it again. But this time it will be different... Everyone must abide by the rules to take part. We may have to go back to the "old fashioned" way of doing it instead of using the EVENTS tool. Please let me hear some feedback from you on it.
Also would love to get many of you sellers motivated on making suggestion as to what we want to see better (Comment Removed by iOffer) time I did great, great here. But over the past year things really went down hill for me. But I do know if we all stick together in a POSITIVE Way we can jumpstart it again.
I would love to sugguest to all of you to use the "contact us" button and find the "suggestions" link and use it. I have been sending in many suggestions to ioffer. Some that I have sent in are as follows and would love to hear feedback from my Crafter's Corners member on them.
1. Suggestion to give us a N/C at least 3 photos per listing.
2. Suggested to give us a tool for setting up our own categories in our individual stores.
3. Suggested to give 15 -20 more characters in the title of our items.
I assume they want us to use the suggestions tool or that would not have provided it for us to use. So make use of it. Would be great to see you post your suggestions back here. This way maybe there will not be too many duplications. But please be reasonable when making them. We can not ask and expect the impossible. When you hear back from the staff would be nice also to update us all. I truly believe this will be a big motivation for all of us.
Very Important. . Here at Crafter's Corner. . Everthing must be done in a positive way. This thread is not for BASHING the site. It is for IMPROVING it. Please be very constructive with your ideas. Any posts that are made in a NEGATIVE way will be delted. Hope you all understand my positition on this. But I as moderator of the club here will not tolerate anything but Constructive Posts. Any true Negative Anger must be taken out somewhere else. I apprecaite everyone in showing respect for this request.
Will wait to hear back from you. Help spread the word about this topic. Many do not check it at the club anymore so I will need help in getting them back over here to voice their ideas.
Thanks and look foward to hearing from you guys.

I would love it if we had the crafters challenge but it would be nice if Ioffer could give you control to remove and block the ones not following the rules. I seen alot trading, not offering or buying. Sorry to say.

Hi, I liked the old way of doing the WEC much better.
Now there are so many hundred posts that you can't even see what people are buying or find anyone to communicate with. I don't like it at all.
I feel making a store trade is okay, in my opinion. You both spent money in the first place and are getting items that you wish. I remember doing a store trade with mercedes. She bought a floral that I made and I bought one of her beaded creations. Neither of us could have afforded to buy these from each other so we traded. It was wonderful!
I think that everyone should say what they purchased on the thread. It helps promote the other person's store. Also, this way we can see who is following the guidelines and who is not. Then Jackie can take care of the ones who continually break the rules.
I also think that the rule should be buying something. I don't like the "or make an offer." Anyone can make a low-ball offer to someone and meet the rules, and then get sales in their store.
I really do not have any suggestions for ioffer except they need to promote heavily again, like they used to. We were a site to be reckoned with at one time. Ebay was getting worried. Did they not add the buy it now feature due to this site? I'm not sure if that is the reason, but the timing suggests that to me. Now we are invisible. I'm glad to hear that some of you are selling again.
Due to health problems, I am only allowed to have 2 stores to run. I used to have 5 or 6. This site has to really pick up for me to transfer my items here again. That's why I haven't officially closed my store yet; although it is empty.
Thank you,Jackie, for doing this. We need to let ioffer know how we are feeling. It saddens me to see so many of my ioffer friends gone.

I don't mind trading. But I do mind people blowing in and trading and leaving; that have no interest in us or the group. Violet your ok in my book. Hugs to you and I think your a model person. I didn't mean you in the least. Gods blessings to you.
Jacky you can delete this if it sounds like it might start an argument. Hugs Sewgood

You are so silly! I know that you didn't mean me personally. lol I was just doing what Jackie asked, which was to voice my opinions. No offense taken in the least. I care about you and Jackie and others that are still here and are gone. I wish it was back to how it was. The fun we had! And we made money! lol Sheri

I just noticed that some people would use our club as a place to pop in and do instant messaging to trade their stuff. I mean you couldn't even find us and our stuff or our comments. If they don't give Suplay the ability to clean it up. Then its just a mess. thats what bothered me. You could tell they were not interested because they wouldn't even say hi or talk or say they went to see others stores. Horrible.
Hugs to you too Violet.

Still waiting to hear from more of the members. The clubs are so dead that it may take awhile to for others to even find this post here. Maybe we can come up with something to motivate everyone soon. I am always open to ideas.
Thanks for the input so far.

Jackie, I admire your s***k and energy to try to wake up the site again. I wish that I could help you, but as I said before, I have a limit to what I can do. If there is not help from the owners of the site I don't see how you can get it going here again. The owners, not just the shop owners, need to promote this site and get it back the way it was, a force to be reckoned with. I do have to say that when I put my store name through google, this store pops up first. I don't know how that works though. Sheri

Sheri, thanks for your comments and I do understand.
I am going to give it my best shot this next year and hopefully things get better.
Still would love to hear if any of you have sent any suggestions in to the site. I sent a few more.
Some of you may not agree with me on this but I suggested to do away with Ioffer lite. Charge a Final Value Fee on everthing that sells and DO NOT CHARGE A FINAL VALUE FEE ON THE SHIPPING PART OF ORDERS. I feel this is not (Comment Removed by iOffer) sell a $3.00 pattern to some one in the U.K. and have a shipping fee of $4.00 then you should not have to pay a fee on the $4.00 part. Sellers that abuse the Shipping and Handling should be banned. For example don't sell a $10.00 item for $1.00 and then add an exta $9.00 on to the shipping and handling. But I would love to see ioffer lite done away with. I think it served a purpose at one time but no longer does.
Hope to hear from more of you and at this time appears there is not enough interest in restarting the WEC. If more interest in shown then I will decide what to do. But at this time there is not enough.

You know I am very new to this site due to a recent price increase by EBay. Your timing couldn't have been better for this thread. We all need to advertise our stores I think. There are ways to advertise for free locally, nationally and globally if you so desire. All we need is a way to get our URL's to as many people as possible. Personally I am using Craig's List and a couple of other websites. I do think that the owners of IOffer should advertise heavy as well this would help all store owners out.

Hi everyone! I haven't been around much, but I also thought the old WEC was better. The events way was just too clogged. I couldn't find the 'real' people.
Just when I was giving up on iOffer, sales have started improving. Maybe they've figured out how to get us into the search engines better again? That's been the main problem to me. Nothing shows up in google search/shop anymore. I can't figure out the new google, but blujay, (Removed by iOffer) stuff shows up. Why do iOffer? Kathy

Hi, I have just joined ioffer and am still finding my way around. I would love to get involved in a challenge or two! I must admit until all of the fuss at eBay I had never heard of ioffer. I do lotsa of other crafty things besides fused glass, I make other types of jewelry and I quilt. I used to be very heavy into rubber stamping and other paper crafting along with painting and polymer clay. Now it is just the glass and jewelry, I am having a love affair with pearls and semi precious stone, something to do while the kiln is cooking. I do have a couple of things that as a newbie I think might be good, one is defiantly advertising this sight. I will send them to the suggestions people, when I find that link.

I was mulling through the IOffer site stuff and noticed that they said they sumitted all listings to all major search engines. On the other hand they say to list your stuff on Google base. What is the difference? Anyone know?
