Topic: Is Ioffer a good place to sell stamps?
-
I have been posting some of my stamps on ioffer for over a month now. So far, I am pleased with the outcome. The fact that there is no listing fee allows me to post many items without having to pay except when the item sells.
I do get many visits to the ads which is great. However, the rate of getting an offer to the number of visits is less than about 0.5%. It seems that there are many explorers but few serious buyers.
What have been the ioffer experience of other stamp sellers or buyers?
Cheers,
Seif

I am new to ioffer and have just started to post a few stamps here and have had the same experience, a lot of explorers with no sales to date.
One fix I found is to sell a couple of items on ebay from time to time and include a Business Card with my store link. This recently did wonders at another store with $26 in stamps sales to an Australian collector from Sweden, my new cards will soon carry my ioffer store link.
Hopefully word of mouth will get to all those European stamp collectors that ioffer is a great place to shop, with a cart even if english is a problem anyone can click and shop.
Cheers

eBay still has the market on most things, I have been selling on ioffer for a few years with some result. I am a full time dealer in vintage postcards and photos, but recently bought a huge collection of first day covers. I am going to sell them off at a discount. Want lists are welcome. If we keep at it more people will find the confidence to buy on Ioffer. Its a good place to sell.
