This coin is from 1978, and it is marked NIMM on the bottom. It is about 1 5/8" in diameter and has a design on both sides. One side shows a 13-star flag and a Colonial soldier with wife and child. It is titled, "Preserving American Freedom." The other side has the flag raising at Iwo Jima, and the inscription is "Honoring the American Veteran. It is dated 1978. I don't know anything else about it, since I purchased it on the secondary market. It is in great condition with some natural patination occurring over time. It appears to be brass or bronze, and is definitely a metal product. It has no damage.
