- Make sure you have items listed in your store.
- Post more Want Ads to let other swappers know what you want.
- Browse or search for item(s) you're interested in swapping.
- Click on the Let's Swap button to initiate a swap.
- Fill out the swap invitation form.
- The other swapper will receive your invitation. They can view your store items and decide if they want to swap with you.
- You will be notified in your message inbox if the swapper accepted your swap invitation.
- Agree upon the swap terms and items to complete the swap.
How much does it cost to swap?
There is a $1.00 flat fee for both swappers in each swap transaction.
What are the benefits of swapping?
- All items are submitted to major search engines for increased exposure
- Swappers can mark their items received
- Swappers can leave a swap feedback rating
- Feedback ratings page will show swap history
- Money can be included
- Buyers may want to purchase your item(s) instead
Yes, you can swap both items and money.
On the swap offer page there is an area to add or change the swap terms. Add or delete items and/or money from the carts to update the swap terms before submitting the swap offer to the other swapper.
The only requirement to start swapping is to have items listed in your store. If you don't have any items listed, the other swapper can't select items from your store to swap.
Post more Want Ads to let other swappers know what you want.
The more Want Ads you post and more items you have listed, the higher your chances of swapping with other members.
Do I need to create a regular listing to swap?
Yes, all swap items need to be listed on iOffer. A swap allows two iOffer members to swap their iOffer items with each other. List more items to increase your swapping chances.
What happens after we agree on swap terms?
When both swappers agree on swap terms, the next step is to send out the item(s) and money (if applicable). Swapper contact information and shipping address is available on the swap detail page under My iOffer > Swapping > Past Swaps.
Where can I manage current and past swaps?
All of your current and past swaps are located under My iOffer > Swapping
Can I swap by putting pictures of my swap items in my iOffer photo album?
No, please do not swap in this manner as this violates the Listing Policy. You will not be able to enjoy full swapping benefits and your account may be subject to review.
The best way to start swapping is to list more items. You never know what someone else is willing to trade.
How do I resolve issues with swaps?
If issues arise, contact your swapping partner by posting a message on the swap detail page. The customer service department is unable to mediate swap issues. Make sure all swap terms are understood by both swappers before completing a swap.
All policies apply to swaps. No contact information, off-site links, or profanity is allowed in swaps. Ask as many questions as you want before completing a swap. Review the other swapper's feedback rating, past transaction history, and store policies. Post all swap arrangements on the swap detail page to have a public record of the swap terms.
SwapBot is an automated swapper matching system. SwapBot looks at your Want Ads and store to see what you want and sell, matching it to other members' items and Want Ads.
To increase your chances of finding a match, list more items and post more Want Ads.
