Item Description

This is an AUTHENTIC HAND SIGNED ORIGINAL 12 1/2"x 12 1/2" 33 1/3 rpm vinyl record and album cover of the original recording of "THE SMOTHERS BROTHERS - AESOP'S FABLES" . This was the seventh comedy album by the Smothers Brothers (released March 15, 1965 on Mercury Records). It reached number 57 on the Billboard Pop Albums chart. Seven of Aesop's more famous stories and morals are related in this album (or what are intended to be his fables but are often overshadowed by the bickering of the two brothers). The songs were written by John McCarthy. The Smothers Brothers are an American double act, consisting of the brothers Thomas ("Tom") and Richard ("Dick"). The brothers' trademark act was performing folk songs (Tommy on acoustic guitar, Dick on string bass), which usually led to arguments between the siblings. Tommy's signature line was, "Mom always liked you best!" Tommy (the elder of the two) acted "slow", and Dick, the straight man, acted "superior". This is an awesome autographed piece of music memorabilia. All of the autographed items I have listed are from my personal collection.
