Darren McGavin earns top billing as David Ross, an ex-cop who became a private eye after cooling his heels in prison on a trumped-up murder charge. Ever on the outside looking in, Ross only accepts case from other "outsiders" who've been wronged by Society. In this pilot movie for the series, Ross is hired to tail a woman in an embezzling case which takes a turn when he finds himself the prime suspect when the woman is found dead in his own office, by his gun. Special Note: Due to the age of this set, most of which came from 16 MM prints, the color has shifted in many episodes. However, except for color fading on some episodes the picture and sound quality is generally good. You won’t find a better quality set anywhere and this series has not been broadcast in about 20 years.
