Professional courier, Matthew Considine (Cliff DeYoung) is hired to shepherd importer, Paul Dvorak (Glenn Ford) across America to New York. Drug baron, Frank Oberon (David Spielberg) has been using the importer's firm as a cover for his illegal drug dealing and Dvorak must testify in court against him.The 3000 mile journey, in a variety of vehicles, becomes extremely hazardous when Oberon orders Dvorak permanently silenced. Private investigator, Rachel Kane (Blair Brown), is hired during this dangerous chase to help the courier deliver Dvorak alive and in one piece.
