This is a reproduction of a matching set of scarf and gloves in the Sanquhar pattern, taken from an old Scottish knitting book. The set can be made for ladies with 3-ply fingering wool, children (use 2-ply wool), and men (use bigger needles). Knit on four needles in two colours, light and dark, this is a complicated pattern but the result is beautiful.
