Sammy Davis Jr began his stage career
at age 2. Now 61 years old, he admits that the
58 year wait to be on stage with the Boston Pops
is a rare and treasured moment. Admitting that
he is basically a ’saloon entertainer’, he thanks
the audience when they join his finger-snapping
in time to the jazzy ‘Satin Doll’. He alludes that
they probably did better than the ones in Reno!
It Only Takes A Moment
Satin Doll ( with his Jazz group)

This is followed by Sammy’s tribute to the
legendary Bill Robinson and he sings and

‘Hooray For Hollywood.
