Broadway lights up the Royal Albert Hall in London again to
honour the greatest creative partnership of American Musical
Theatre. It is 50 years since the death of Oscar Hammerstein II,
the lyricist whose partnership with Richard Rodgers resulted in a
series of inimitable musicals.
 Returning with his orchestra of hand picked players,
following their extraordinary sucess at the Proms last year, John
Wilson conducts excerpts from Carousel, Flower Drum Song,
Oklahoma!, The King and I and The Sound of Music.
The concert begins with excerpts from
Oklahoma! followed by Carousel, South Pacific, Flower Drum Song,
The King and I, The Sound of Music and a reprise of Oklahoma!
This huge orchestra plays all it's selections form the original
movie scores and not from the original Broadway scores.
Starring:- Kim Criswell, Sierra Boggess, Anna-Jabe Casey, Julian
Ovenden and Rod Gilfry.
