Porcelain cup and saucer Maruko Japan china dinnerware decorator cup full size black checkerboard pink rose. If any of the other cups and saucers I purchased at the same time are an indication, this is from the 30s, or 40s at the latest. This cup and saucer is a full size, porcelain, and the saucer is about 5 1/2 inches in diameter. The cup is about 3 5/8 inches across the top.

The gold edging is worn on the cup and shows some wear on the saucer. There are some fine scratches in the well of the saucer, visible with a magnifying glass. There is no other damage, and the design is black checkerboard with gray-green and a bright pink rose. There are no chips, cracks, or chunks.
