Item Description
MICHIGAN DIRECTOR MATT JAISSLE (BACK FROM HELL, THE NECRO FILES 1 & 2) SPINS A TALE OF THE UNDEAD IN THIS 1995 LOW BUDGET HORROR / ACTION FILM STARRING RON ASHETON (FROM THE STOOGES!!). IT BEGINS WITH HUMAN SCIENTISTS TRYING TO TRAIN THE REANIMATED DEAD FOR THEIR OWN PURPOSES. IN THIS CASE, THEY'RE BEING USED AS HIGH-TECH SUPER SOLDIERS, WHO KILL THE PROFESSOR RESPONSIBLE FOR THE BREAKTHROUGH, AFTER HE'S DOUBLE-CROSSED BY A DRUG KINGPIN WHO WANTS TO ELIMINATE HIS COMPETITION WITH THE USE OF THE KILLING-MACHINES (WHO WANDER ABOUT IN NINJA-GEAR, EMBELLISHED GAS MASKS, ASSAULT WEAPONS, AND THE OCCASIONAL SAMURAI SWORD). AHH, BUT THEY FORGOT ALL ABOUT THE PROFESSOR'S EXCITABLE SON, TAYLOR, WHO TAKES ON HIS FATHER'S SEEMINGLY-UNSTOPPABLE CREATIONS. IN A CLEVER TWIST, THE HEROIC TAYLOR IS KILLED EARLY ON, BUT WITH THE AID OF THE PROFESSOR'S OLD ASSISTANT (EX-STOOGES GUITARIST RON ASHETON), TAYLOR IS HIMSELF TRANSFORMED INTO AN UNDEAD SOLDIER AND GETS A SECOND-CHANCE AT REVENGE! ZOMBIE FILMS ARE A DIME-A-DOZEN THESE DAYS, BUT JAISSLE TOSSES A COUPLE OF AMUSING TWISTS INTO THIS FAST-PACED, 83 MINUTE OUTING. IT'S AN ENTERTAINING LOW-BUDGET CYBERNETIC-ZOMBIE-STORMTROOPER FILM, WITH LOADS OF MACHO POSTURING, PLENTIFUL VIOLENCE, AND AN ACTION PACKED CLIMAX.ships in a plain sleeve with no artwork
