Item Description
If you have the Ku Klux Klan Token book by Birdsell this token is listed as KK104 and labeled as unauthenticated. Research says it hit the market in the 1970s and is not true to its stamped date but instead is a commemorative of some event that occured in Klan history on that date. The Klan supposedly did not exist between 1869 and 1915. I am quite sure as many of you could also discern that just because the Klan was disbanned did not mean it or
many of its chapters were not still active -evidence of this is supported by the production of the sheet music for the well known Klan song "The Bright Fiery Cross" copyright 1913. Again, this coin is listed in the Birdsell book and all
in all it is still an uncommon and desirable coin. Very nice condition. Obverse: Along top edge it says: "CONVENTION OF THE ORDER" Along the bottom it says: "BRISTOL TENN." and at center it says:
"MAY 11, 1907 KU KLUX KLAN".
Reverse: Blank.
This brass medal/token has great patina is in fantastic condition with high relief no rubbed high marks and is a HUGE 39mm. Do not miss this opportunity to add this great piece to your collection.
