HANDCRAFTED ALASKA IVORY GUITAR PICK -
you are bidding on one of my handcrafted ivory guitar picks.
This was made my Alaska Native girlfriend &
myself from pre-ban fossilized ivory, which was harvested by the
Native islanders of the private lands on remote St. Lawrence Island
in the Bering Sea.
This ivory is not from an endangered species.
This was collected in accordance with all
prevailing laws both from the State of Alaska and all federal
agencies, Dept. of Fish & Game, the Marine Mammal Protection
Act and complies with CITES Convention and Customs laws and as
such, this will only be shipped within the USA.
sure that you’ve read about the use of both bone and/or ivory
on guitar parts on different acoustic and electric instruments and
the increased qualities as better sustain and richer harmonics.
There are ivory nuts, saddles, bridge pins,
etc., and while we don’t make these accessories, we’ve
concentrated on our fossilized ivory guitar picks. Anyone can get

dynamics when you play an acoustic guitar, electric guitar or
mandolin, due to its inherent hardness, density, age and
are virtually indestructible and will not break during normal or
A previous customer did keep his pick in his
wallet, or did, and this pick did break because of weird pressures
of sitting down all the time. So if you try to break it, it will
break, but it won’t break during normal or hard playing.
If you want richer overtones, richer harmonics
and can appreciate increased speed and clarity along with better
dynamics, then this pick is for you and/or your jamming
