Horror Sounds Of The Night is one of the few decent Halloween sound effects cassettes/CDs out there. I own the cassette tape. I've played it virtually every Halloween for what seems like about 20 years now. It is a good mixture of acceptable music and sound effects. You'll hear haunting organs, ghouls laughing, ghosts, creeking doors and many other sound effects. It is one of those albums you can turn on and walk away and you'll get good background sound effects for when you pass out candy to trick-or-treaters. I've noticed through the years that this album tends to get played a lot during the Halloween season, whether it's at private residences or at Halloween stores. Now I must say that the "music" on this doesn't compare to real high quality music, such as that of the band Midnight Syndicate. This album is cheap, so you get what you pay for. If you want to invest in high quality Halloween music, I highly recommend the music of Midnight Syndicate.
This album is about as good as it gets when it comes to cheap Halloween sound effects albums. Decent.
