This is a reproduction of a Roman sestertius of Julia Domna, wife of emperor Septimus Severus who ruled from 193 to 211 CE. The obverse shows the portrait of Julia Domna facing right. The reverse shows Venus holding an apple and drawing out out of a fold of drapery from her breast. The coin was struck in 199 CE. (Sear 6632). You are in the REPRODUCTION section.
