Item Description
This is a reproduction of a Roman sestertius of Antoninius Pius who was emperor from 138 to 161 CE. The obverse shows the emperor. The reverse shows Britannia seated left on a rock holding a standard and spear and resting arm on shield. The inscription is BRITANNICA. The coin was struck in Rome in 143 CE. (Sear 4153).
