This is a reproduction of a Roman sestertius of Matidia, daughter of Trajan's daughterand the favorite of the emperor's children. The obverse shows the bust of Matidia facing right. The reverse shows Matidia standing facing lead left with her hands on the heads of two children standing in front of her. The coin was struck in Rome in 112 CE. (Sear 3380).
