Lysimachos was a successor Alexander th of e Great. He obtained the government of Thrace. Lysiacmhos commemorated Alexander with a large issue of commemorative coins. The obverse shows the diademed head of Alexander the Great facing right wearing the horn of Ammon. The reverse shows Athena enthroned left holding Nike and resting left arm on shield; a spear rests on her right side; on left Nike crowns Athena.
