Item Description
This Syracuse tetradrachm was struck between 450 and 439 B.C. The obverse shows the head of Artemis facing right with hair bound with cord wrapped four times forming an elonged coiffure with four dolphins around. The reverse shows slow quadriga driven by charioteer holding goad; above Nike flying right crowning horses. (Sear 932) Each coin is stamped 'COPY' on the reverse.
