1975 afc championship game- raiders at steelers-A defensive struggle turned into an offensive battle as the Steelers managed to stop the Raiders' final drive for the winning score as time ran out. Only Pittsburgh could manage to score during the first three quarters, with Roy Gerela's 36-yard field goal. But late in the third period, Steelers linebacker Jack Lambert recovered a fumble at the Pittsburgh 30-yard line. The turnover set up running back Franco Harris' 25-yard touchdown run to give the Steelers a 10-0 lead. Oakland responded with Mike Siani's 14-yard touchdown reception, but was countered by John Stallworth's 20-yard touchdown catch. But the Steelers' ensuing extra point was missed, and with the score 16-7, the Raiders found themselves at the Pittsburgh 24-yard line, third down and 2 yards to go, with 18 seconds left in the game. They opted to have George Blanda kick a 41-yard field goal to pull the deficit to 6 points. Then Marv Hubbard recovered the ensuing onside kick with 9 seconds remaining to give Oakland one last attempt to win the game. Cliff Branch then caught a 37-yard reception, but he was stopped at the Pittsburgh 15-yard line before he could get out of bounds and the clock ran out. Harris had a superb performance, rushing for 79 yards and a touchdown, while also catching 5 passes for 58 yards.

1977 Giants at Cincinnati snow storm-Kenny Anderson only attempted four passes in the first half but three went for touchdowns as the Bengals surged to a 27-6 lead and coasted the final two periods. The game was played in a driving snowstorm but that didn't bother Anderson and the rest of the Bengals as they scored on their first three possessions.

Bob Avellini, working against the clock and a driving, freezing rain completed passes of 19 yards to Greg Latta and 14 yards to Walter Payton, setting the stage for Thomas' winning kick. Payton, who came into the game needing 199 yards to break O.J. Simpson's single season NFL Rushing record of 2003 yards, was burdened by the Giants defense and the slippery field conditions and finished with 47 yards on 15 carries. Payton set an NFL record with 339 carries and his 1852 yard total was third best in NFL History.

First, Houston running back Ronnie Coleman lost a fumble, and moments later Pittsburgh wide receiver Lynn Swann caught a 29-yard touchdown reception. Then Johnnie Dirden fumbled the ensuing kickoff, which led to Steelers wide receiver John Stallworth's 17-yard reception. After the Oilers got the ball back, Coleman fumbled again, and Roy Gerela kicked a field goal to increase Pittsburgh's lead, 31-3. Houston would never pose a threat for the remainder of the game as they turned over the ball 4 times in their 6 second-half possessions.

BROWNS 28 OILERS 23
The Cleveland Browns overcame a 23-7 second half deficit behind Don Strock and stunned the Houston Oilers 28-23 at Cleveland Browns Stadium. With Bernie Koser in street clothes Strock completed 25 of 42 passes for 326 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions. It was the second time in his career he had thrown for over 300 yards. The Oilers led 16-7 at the half behind three Tony Zendejas field goals and a 36 yard interception return for a touchdown by Domingo Bryant. The Browns only score of the first half was a Michael Dean Perry 10 yard fumble return for a touchdown. In the third quarter Haywood Jeffires caught a seven yard touchdown pass from Warren Moon giving the Oilers the 23-7 lead. Moon finished 20 of 35 for 287 yards but the Oilers could only manage 37 yards on the ground on 23 attempts. Earnest Byner would then score on a two yard pass play and a later a two yard run to cut the deficit to 23-21 and when Strock hit Webster Slaughter on a 22 yard touchdown the comeback was complete. Cleveland Browns fans were throwing snow balls at an injured camera man. He was hurt during a play when Moon was throwing a deep pass to Jeffires near the end zone.
1998- tenn at packers- great game in the snow.. The Packers entered the game already having clinched a berth in the playoffs for the sixth consecutive year. In White's final game at Lambeau Field as a Packer, Reggie White helped hold Oilers Pro Bowl running back Eddie George to 30 yards on 15 carries. Antonio Freeman was the big star on offense, hauling in 7 Brett Favre passes for 186 yards and 3 touchdowns. It was Freeman's second three-score game. The other was on December 8, 1996 against Denver. Favre's 3 TD tosses gave him 30 for the season, giving him an NFL record 5th consecutive season with 30 or more TD passes. Despite a torn-up field, Ryan Longwell nailed kicks from 38, 40 and 40 yards out. Punter Sean Landeta set a Packers record with 29 kicks inside the 20 in a season. Oilers punter Craig Hentrich held the previous record.
1999 panthers at steelers-

Fred Lane then scored on a 41 yard run cutting the Steeler lead to 10-7. Richard Huntley scored from 25 yards out for the Steelers extending the lead to 16-7. The Panthers would answer with a Steve Beuerlein 88 yard scoring strike to Patrick Jeffers. Mike Tomczak then would connect with Hines Ward for a nine yard score before the Beuerlein to Jeffers combination would strike again, this time for 43 yards cutting the Steeler lead to three at the half, 23-20. The only scoring in the second half was the Bettis eight yard run putting the game away as the second half was played in a snow storm. Beuerlein finished 18 of 35 for 263 yards, the two touchdowns to Jeffers and one interception. Tomczak was 13 of 23 for 94 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Jeffers led all receivers with 160 yards receiving on five catches.

Each team connected on two first half field goals, as the score was tied at six at halftime. The Broncos scored both of their touchdowns in the third quarter taking a 20-6 lead. Anthony Dilweg tossed a nine yard touchdown pass to Sterling Sharpe to get Green Bay within seven, but the Packers would not score again. Dilweg completed 15 of 23 passes for 232 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
1995 steelers at greenbay-- The Green Bay Packers received an early Christmas present as they held off the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-19 at Lambeau Field. Brett Favre completed 23 of 32 passes for 301 yards and two touchdowns. Edgar Bennett rushed for 57 yards and one touchdown and Robert Brooks led all receivers with eleven catches for 137 yards and one touchdown. When Chris Jacke hit a 47 yard field goal in the fourth quarter the Green Bay lead was 24-13. The Steelers would make a final push behind Neil O'Donnell. O'Donnell completed 33 of 55 passes for 318 yards and one touchdown, but this game is remembered for an incomplete pass. After Tim Lester scored from two yards out the Steelers were within 5 points. On fourth down with time running out O'Donnell threw a strike to Yancey Thigpen in the end zone, but he dropped it. It would have given the Steelers the lead, instead the Packers won 24-19.
1994- browns at denver--John Elway tossed two touchdown passes as the Denver Broncos defeated the Cleveland Browns 26-14 at Mile High Stadium. Denver took a 14-6 halftime lead. Elway tossed a one yard touchdown pass to Jerry Evans and Leonard Russell scored on a one yard run. In the third quarter the Broncos added two Jason Elam field goals extending the lead to 20-6. The Browns made a game of it in the fourth quarter with a Mark Rypien six yard touchdown pass to Mark Carrier. After the two point conversion the Browns were within six and 20-14. Denver would answer the score with a Elway 17 yard touchdown pass to Glyn Milburn extending the Denver lead to 26-14 and putting the game away. Elway completed 30 of 41 passes for 349 yards with the two touchdowns. The combination of Vinny Testaverde and Rypien finished 23 of 44 for 284 yards and one touchdown.
1995- bengals at cleveland- In the last game played at Cleveland Stadium the Browns defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 26-10. A seventeen point second quarter sparked the Browns led by two Vinny Testaverde touchdown passes. He connected with Frank Hartley on a one yard score and Keenan McCardell for a 16 yarder. Testaverde completed 22 of 32 passes for 241 yards. Earnest Byner led all rushers with 121 yards on 31 carries. Matt Stover kicked four field goals. For the Bengals, Jeff Blake completed 22 of 46 passes for 257 yards with one interception.
1995 falcons at bills- Jim Kelly threw two touchdown passes to Bill Brooks and Steve Christie added three field goals as the Buffalo Bills defeated the Atlanta Falcons 23-17 at Rich Stadium. Kelly finished the day 22 of 36 for 272 yards, the two touchdowns to Brooks, and was intercepted once. Brooks led all receivers with seven catches and 101 yards receiving and caught touchdown passes of 15 and 30 yards. The Falcons Craig Heyward rushed for 65 yards on 14 carries and scored twice. The second touchdown tied the game at seventeen in the third quarter but Christie would kick two field goals in the fourth quarter to put the game away. Jeff George was 17 of 34 for 279 yards and one interception.
2000- tenn at cleveland- The Cleveland Browns may have felt at home in a driving snowstorm but the winter wonderland played right into the hands of the Tennessee Titans. Eddie George, used to the cold weather when he played at Ohio State, rushed for 176 yards and three touchdowns on 34 carries as the Titans blanked the Browns, 24-0. Tennessee coach Jeff Fisher improved to 60-45 and became the winningest coach in franchise history, surpassing Bum Phillips. With the snow steadily accumulating throughout the game and the field covered from the start, Fisher employed a simple gameplan -- hand the ball off to George combined with short passing. Steve McNair had a quiet game, completing 10-of-18 for just 78 yards and an interception.
2001- browns at packers-- The Packers were back in the NFL playoffs for the first time since the 1998 season with a 30-7 win over the Browns. On a cold and snowy day tailor-made for a December game at Lambeau Field, the Green Bay defense paved the way for the win. Three Browns turnovers caused by the Packers defense lead to 21 points for Green Bay. Tyrone Williams' interception return for a touchdown as Cleveland was driving late in the second quarter, swung the game's momentum in favor of the Packers and it would never switch back. He added another interception to stall a second-half Cleveland drive. Rookie Bhawoh Jue hauled in his first NFL interception on Cleveland's opening drive to set the defensive tone of the game. Cleveland scored its only touchdown midway through the second quarter when Tim Couch hit running back Jamel White on a shovel pass for a 3-yard score. White finished the afternoon rushing 21 times for 131 yards, in addition to recording 9 receptions for 85 yards and one touchdown. Ahman Green bounced back after gaining only nine yards in the loss at Tennessee. He amassed 150 yards rushing on 21 carries, along with 3 receptions for 18 yards. It was Green's sixth 100-yard rushing game of the season tying Dorsey Levens (1997) for second place on the club's all-time single season record list. Jim Taylor recorded 7 such games during the 1962 season.

2008- colts at cleveland- Defensive end Robert Mathis scooped up quarterback Derek Anderson's fumble and rumbled 37 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter as the Colts stayed in the thick of the AFC playoff chase by winning their fifth straight, 10-6 over the Cleveland Browns, who suffered another demoralizing loss. Mathis' big play helped bail out Manning and Indy's high-powered offense, which failed to score a TD for the first time since Sept. 7, 2003, a 9-6 win at Cleveland. Manning finished 15-for-21 for 125 yards, a season low and only the 10th time in 172 career starts that he was under 150 yards.
2009- jacksonville at cleveland- Jerome Harrison rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown and Josh Cribbs ran for a TD as the Browns beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 23-17 on Sunday, giving Cleveland its first four-game winning streak since 1994 to push Mangini into an uncertain offseason with momentum to fight for his job. Harrison's emergence was one of many surprises for the Browns down the stretch. He made the most of his opportunity after Jamal Lewis sustained a season-ending injury and capped his three-week breakout by rushing for 561 yards on 106 carries. His 6-yard TD run on 4th-and-1 with 4:03 left in the third quarter put the Browns ahead 20-3. The Jaguars pulled within 20-10 on David Garrard's 6-yard TD pass to tight end Zach Miller with 10:30 left. But Browns quarterback Derek Anderson, who only attempted 11 passes, took the Browns on a 14-play drive that devoured more than eight minutes. Phil Dawson capped it with a 33-yard field goal to make it 23-10. Garrard found Miller again on a 15-yard TD on the final play.
packers at minnesota 10-5-09--Brett Favre added another feat to his overflowing resume: He's the first quarterback in history to beat all 32 NFL teams. Well, he saved the best for last: The Green Bay Packers. Favre's first game against his former team was all fun for the Minnesota Vikings and all frustration for the Packers, as the graying quarterback kept his cool and connected for three touchdown passes and 271 yards in a 30-23 victory on Monday night. Favre went 24 for 31, without a turnover. He celebrated his first scoring toss with an awkward body bump with kicker Ryan Longwell, also a former Packers teammate, and showed plenty of emotion on this most emotional night. He stayed poised in the pocket all night, too, and avoided the risky throws that have defined his career almost as much as the success. The Vikings sacked Favre's replacement, Aaron Rodgers, eight times. Jared Allen was credited with 4½ of them, a career high, including a safety in the fourth quarter that stretched the lead to 16. Rodgers had his first two turnovers of the season, and Favre turned both of them into vintage touchdown passes in the first half. Favre had tons of time to throw throughout the game, and Rodgers had the exact opposite experience -- often hanging onto the ball too long. He finished 26 for 37 for a career-high 384 yards, many of them in desperation down the stretch, and two touchdown passes.
minnesota vs ravens-- As great as Brett Favre was Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings quarterback was pretty sure he wasn't good enough. So sure that the Vikings were headed to their first defeat of the season, Favre couldn't even bear to watch as Baltimore kicker Steve Hauschka lined up for a 44-yard field goal with 2 seconds to play. Yet thanks to Favre, receiver Sidney Rice and a whole lot of luck, the Vikings are 6-0. Favre's 58-yard completion to Rice set up Ryan Longwell's fourth field goal, and Hauschka's kick was wide left at the final whistle, allowing the Vikings to remain undefeated, 33-31. Favre completed 21 of 29 passes for 278 yards and three touchdowns. Joe Flacco threw for 385 yards and two touchdowns for the Ravens, who scored twice on drives that totaled just 56 seconds to take a 31-30 lead with 3:37 to play.
2009-minnesota at greenbay--Brett Favre jogged out of the tunnel in a purple helmet. He might as well have been wearing a black hat. No, Favre didn't seem to relish playing the villain in his return to Lambeau Field. But it was going to take more than a chorus of boos to throw him off his game. For the second time in less than a month, Favre sliced up his former team and stuck it to the franchise that cast him aside as the Minnesota Vikings beat the Green Bay Packers 38-26 at Lambeau on Sunday. Despite being jeered repeatedly by Packers fans who once cheered his every move, Favre completed 17 of 28 passes for 244 yards and four touchdowns without an interception. Under less dramatic circumstances, rookie receiver Percy Harvin would have been Sunday's star after catching five passes for 84 yards and a touchdown and returning five kicks for 175 yards. The Vikings' defense roughed up Favre's successor, Aaron Rodgers, sacking him six times.
2009 lions at minnesota --Even when Sidney Rice is tightly covered, Brett Favre isn't afraid to fire a pass downfield. Favre's new favorite receiver just keeps fighting through the contact and coming up with the ball, perhaps finally making Minnesota fans forget Randy Moss. Favre passed for a season-high 344 yards, 201 to Rice, and the Vikings overcame several self-inflicted setbacks to beat the Detroit Lions 27-10 on Sunday. Thanks to Favre's arrival at quarterback and a summer spent working out with some of the game's greatest receivers, Rice has emerged as quite a threat for the surging Vikings. What he lacks in speed he has made up for with precision, position and poise. Adrian Peterson lost a fumble and threw a bad pitch to Percy Harvin for another turnover, both inside the Detroit 20 in the first half. The Vikings committed a season-most 13 penalties, totaling 91 yards. Matthew Stafford finished 29 for 51 for 224 yards and one touchdown, which brought the Lions within 17-10 before the Vikings pulled away.
2009 bears at minnesota-- Brett Favre completed 32 of 48 passes for a season-high 392 yards and three touchdowns, and the Vikings intercepted Jay Cutler twice in a 36-10 victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday. The Vikings (10-1) outgained the Bears by a whopping 537 yards to 169 and breezed to their fifth straight win, despite two more fumbles and a pedestrian 85 yards on 25 carries by Peterson, whose short, late touchdown run put Minnesota over 32 points for the sixth time this season. The Vikings had 31 first downs, the Bears just eight.

packers at cardinals 2009 classic playoff game
CARDINALS 51 PACKERS 45
Old master Kurt Warner and playoff newcomer Aaron Rodgers staged a passing duel to rival any the NFL has seen. And when the highest-scoring postseason game in league history ended abruptly in overtime, Rodgers flung his helmet to the sideline in disgust. Karlos Dansby returned Rodgers' fumble 17 yards for a touchdown to give the Cardinals a 51-45 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Rodgers, intercepted on the game's first play but marvelous after that, was stripped by Michael Adams. The ball careened off Rodgers' foot and into the hands of Dansby, who ran untouched for the score. Warner, who improved his playoff record to 9-3, finished 29 of 33 for 379 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions. The five TDs matched the 38-year-old's career best. Rodgers, in his first playoff start, was 28 of 42 for a Packers postseason-record 422 yards and four TDs. All but two of Rodgers' yards came after the first quarter. Dansby started and ended the game with big plays. He broke up Rodgers' opening pass and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie intercepted. The next time the Packers got the ball, Dansby stripped Donald Driver and Arizona's Alan Branch recovered. With Anquan Boldin sidelined with ankle and knee injuries, Warner threw two touchdown passes to Larry Fitzgerald, two to Early Doucet and one to Steve Breaston, who caught seven passes for 125 yards. Neil Rackers had missed a 34-yard field goal at the end of regulation for Arizona.

PACKERS 28 VIKINGS 24
It looked like one of Brett Favre's old comebacks with the Green Bay Packers, and now he had done it to them. At Lambeau Field, too. Then came a replay review that wiped out the Minnesota Vikings' touchdown -- and finally a victory for the Packers against their former quarterback. Favre suffered three second-half interceptions and the Packers held on to beat the Vikings 28-24 on Sunday night. Favre appeared to deliver another signature comeback victory with an apparent touchdown strike to Percy Harvin with 48 seconds left -- but the score was overturned when a replay review determined the wide receiver came down with one foot out of bounds. Down to his last chance on fourth-and-15 at the 20, Favre threw incomplete. Aaron Rodgers was 21 of 34 for 295 yards and two touchdowns for Green Bay. He also had a pair of costly first-half interceptions -- uncharacteristic mistakes for a quarterback known for good decision-making in the red zone. Adrian Peterson rushed for 131 yards for the Vikings. Favre was 16 of 29 for 212 yards with a touchdown and the three interceptions.

SAINTS 14 VIKINGS 9
Drew Brees and the Saints extended New Orleans' post-Super Bowl euphoria for at least another week and denied Brett Favre a victory in the Louisiana Superdome one more time. Brees completed 27 of 36 passes for 237 yards and one touchdown, and the Saints survived a hard-fought season opener for a 14-9 victory against the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday night. It wasn't the most spectacular way to open a title defense, considering it was a rematch of the riveting 2009 NFC title game last January, which the Saints won in overtime to advance to their first Super Bowl. It was the lowest-scoring victory of the Sean Payton era, which began in 2006, but the Saints will take it, especially after their defense limited Favre to 171 yards passing and one touchdown. Unlike the NFC Championship Game, the Vikings didn't lose a fumble and turned the ball over only once on Jonathan Vilma's interception of Favre, who made an ill-advised throw as Roman Harper hit him on a safety blitz. Also unlike their previous meeting, the Saints had most of the statistical advantages, outgaining Minnesota 308 yards to 253 and controlling the ball for 33:43, compared to 26:17 for Minnesota. Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, who rushed for 122 yards and three TDs in the last meeting, rushed for 87 yards on 19 carries against New Orleans' stingy defense.

1989- pittsburgh at miami- The Miami Dolphins jumped out to a 14-0 lead and then the rains came. As in a torrential downpour. The field could not absorb all the rain leaving plenty of standing water and flooding. The Pittsburgh Steelers would score the games last 34 points and defeat the Dolphins 34-14 at Joe Robbie Stadium. Merril Hoge rushed for three touchdowns, Dwayne Woodruff returned a fumble 21 yards for a score and Gary Anderson added two field goals. The Dolphins actually out gained the Steelers 302-292 but the five turnovers did them in. Dan Marino completed 8 of 16 for 128 yards, including a 66 yard touchdown pass to Mark Clayton. Marino gave way to Scott Secules due to injury. Secules was 7 of 19 with two interceptions.
1985 nfc championship rams at bears--
BEARS 24 RAMS 0
The Bears defense dominated the game by limiting Rams running back Eric Dickerson to 46 yards, and holding quarterback Dieter Brock to 10 out of 31 completions for 66 passing yards. Los Angeles only gained 130 yards of total offense. The Rams had a chance to get back in the game at they got inside the Bears' 15 yard line in the waning moments of the first half. But poor play calling and clock management resulted in the clock running out. Chicago quarterback Jim McMahon scored on a 16-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, and later threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to Willie Gault in the third quarter. Kicker Kevin Butler kicked a 34-yard field goal in the first period. In the fourth quarter, defensive lineman Richard Dent forced Brock to fumble, and linebacker Wilber Marshall picked up the loose ball and returned it 52 yards for a touchdown.

2000- seahawks at denver--Mike Anderson followed up his record setting game last week with a game high 131 yards on 29 carries while scoring two touchdowns as the Denver Broncos defeated the Seattle Seahawks 31-24 at Mile High Stadium. Denver took a 14-3 halftime lead behind a Gus Frerotte five yard touchdown pass to Ed McCaffrey and a 79 yard interception return for a touchdown by Jimmy Spencer. Denver extended the lead to 24-3 in the third quarter after Anderson scored on a one yard run and Jason Elam booted a 38 yard field goal. The Seahawks finally found the end zone in the last minute of the third quarter when Jon Kitna threw a four yard touchdown pass to Sean Dawkins. Early in the fourth quarter Kitna tossed a 9 yard touchdown to Darrell Jackson but this time Denver answered with an Anderson six yard scoring run. The Seahawks again cut it to a seven point game when Kitna threw a 22 yard touchdown to Dawkins, with 2:28 left. With no time outs left, Seattle went for the onside kick. It was recovered by Denver, who then ran out the clock. Frerotte completed 14 of 25 passes for 201 yards with one touchdown and one interception. McCaffrey led all receivers with eight catches for 112 yards. Kitna finished 26 of 41 for 298 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions.
2007 miami at bills- The Dolphins began unraveling before the snow started falling and the field became slick before halftime. The game was effectively over when Buffalo took advantage of two turnovers and three sacks to build a 24-7 lead by the end of the first quarter. Rookie quarterback Trent Edwards threw four touchdown passes, including two to tight end Robert Royal. Buffalo's 38 points was a season high and three short of what the team combined for in its three previous games. The Bills' running attack produced two 100-yard rushers for the first time since 1996, with Fred Jackson having 115 and Marshawn Lynch adding 107. Safety George Wilson even got into the scoring, capitalizing on one of the more laughable moments. On his ninth play from scrimmage, rookie Dolphins starter John Beck was untouched in the pocket when the ball slipped out of his hand and fell directly into Wilson's arms, allowing the converted receiver to score his second defensive touchdown this year. Beck was yanked after Wilson's score, and veteran backup Cleo Lemon didn't do much better. After engineering a two-play 66-yard scoring drive, capped by Samkon Gado's 12-yard run, Lemon threw two interceptions including one picked off by Whitner after the quarterback attempted a play-action fake with no one in his backfield.
2009- vikings at cleveland-- After rolling into the end zone with his first NFL touchdown, Vikings rookie wide receiver Percy Harvin had to absorb an unexpeted hit. Brett Favre flattened him. For Favre, the ageless quarterback with a boundless love for football, career touchdown pass No. 464 was as enjoyable as his first. Favre looked pleasing in purple, throwing a 6-yard TD pass to Harvin in his debut with Minnesota, and Adrian Peterson scored three touchdowns and ran for 180 yards as the Vikings overcame a sluggish start to beat the Cleveland Browns 34-20 on Sunday. Peterson was held to just 25 yards in the first half, when he needed treatment for a badly cut left arm. He felt light headed and received intravenous fluids at halftime. The league's leading rusher last season scored on a pair of 1-yard plunges and capped his day with an electrifying 64-yarder in the fourth quarter, breaking five tackles along the way, to make it 34-13.
2009- ravens at minn-
As great as Brett Favre was Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings quarterback was pretty sure he wasn't good enough.
2010- vikings at packers--t looked like one of Brett Favre's old comebacks with the Green Bay Packers, and now he had done it to them. At Lambeau Field, too. Then came a replay review that wiped out the Minnesota Vikings' touchdown -- and finally a victory for the Packers against their former quarterback. Adrian Peterson rushed for 131 yards for the Vikings. Favre was 16 of 29 for 212 yards with a touchdown and the three interceptions.
2010- bears at vikings- Bundled up on the sideline in a heavy, gray coat, Brett Favre could only watch as Devin Hester and the Chicago Bears sped through the snow to the NFC North title. Favre's surprise start ended with a concussion, perhaps putting him out for good, and the Bears spoiled Minnesota's first outdoor home game in 29 years. Hester set the NFL record with his 14th kick return touchdown, running back a punt 64 yards for a score shortly after halftime to help the Bears fly past the Vikings 40-14 on a frosty, hard-hitting Monday night. Jay Cutler threw for three scores for the Bears, who last won this division during their 2006 Super Bowl season. Hester caught one of Cutler's touchdown passes and also took back the second-half kickoff 79 yards to set up a field goal a few minutes before his game-breaking punt return made it 27-7. That was Hester's 14th career return touchdown, kickoff or punt, breaking Brian Mitchell's previous mark. Favre doesn't have many, if any, left. He finished 5 for 7 for 63 yards before the big hit by Corey Wootton, and the Vikings fell apart in front of their proud alumni in town for the franchise's 50th anniversary celebration featuring all kinds of blasts from the past.

saints at seahawks--The Seahawks made history by becoming the first 7–9 team ever to make the playoffs and then did it again by becoming the first to win a playoff game, racking up 31 first downs and 474 yards, including a 67-yard touchdown run by Marshawn Lynch late in the fourth quarter. Two early Seahawk miscues enabled the Saints to build a 10-point lead. First Olindo Mare kicked the opening kickoff out of bounds, giving New Orleans the ball at their 40-yard line. New Orleans then drove to the Seahawks' 8-yard line, but had to settle for a Garrett Hartley field goal after Reggie Bush dropped a pass on third down that could have kept the drive going. Then three plays into the Seahawks' drive, Matt Hasselbeck's pass went through the hands of receiver Benjamin Obomanu and into the arms of defensive back Jabari Greer, who returned the interception 10 yards to the Seattle 35. New Orleans subsequently drove 35 yards in nine plays. Seattle fullback Michael Robinson returned Hartley's short kickoff 18 yards to the 43-yard line, and the Seahawks struck back with a 57-yard drive that ended with Hasslebeck's 11-yard touchdown pass to tight end John Carlson. The Saints countered as Brees completed 4 of 5 passes for 53 yards on an 83-yard drive that ended with a 5-yard touchdown run by Julius Jones, who had been cut by Seattle early in the season. But Hasselbeck led the Seahwaks right back on a 70-yard scoring drive, featuring a 39-yard reception by tight end Cameron Morrah. On the next play, Hasslebeck threw his second touchdown pass to Carlson, cutting the score to 17–14. After an exchange of punts, Jones lost a fumble while being tackled by Raheem Brock that Seattle linebacker David Hawthorne recovered on the Saints' 18-yard line, setting up a 29-yard field goal by Mare to tie the game. With 1:15 left in the second quarter, Hasslebeck launched a 45-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Stokley, giving Seattle their first lead of the game at 24–17. But a 40-yard reception by Devery Henderson helped the Saints drive to the Seattle 3-yard line where Hartley made his second field goal to cut the score to 24–20 as time expired in the half. The Seahawks increased their lead to 31–20 on their opening drive of the second half, as Hasslebeck threw an 18-yard completion to Obomanu and finished the drive with a 38-yard touchdown pass to Mike Williams. Then after forcing a punt, Mare kicked a 39-yard field goal to make the score 34–20 with 9:54 left in the quarter. New Orleans got the ball back at their 13-yard line following Jon Ryan's punt, and mounted an 83-yard drive that ended with Jones' second touchdown run of the game, making the score 34–27 with 13:11 left in regulation. Then they forced a three-and-out and got the ball back with good field position on their 44-yard line with Lance Moore's 8-yard punt return. On the second play of their ensuing drive, Brees threw a short pass to Jones, who took it 33 yards to the Seattle 23. But several plays later, Seattle's defense halted the drive at the 3-yard line, where the Saints settled for Hartley's third field goal to cut the score to 34–30. After an exchange of punts, Seattle got the ball with 4:20 left in the game. On the first play of the drive, Lynch was stuffed for no gain. But on the next play, he took off for a 67-yard touchdown run in which he broke seven tackles en route to the end zone. With 1:52 left, Brees struck back with a 6-yard touchdown pass to Henderson, but the 2-point conversion failed, keeping the score at 41–36. Then Carlson sealed the victory by recovering Hartley's onside kick attempt, enabling Seattle to run out the rest of the clock. Brees finished with 39 of 60 completions for 404 yards and two touchdowns. His 39 completions set a postseason record. Jones, who became the first player ever to score a touchdown in the postseason against a team that had cut him in the regular season, rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns while also catching 6 passes for 61 yards. Hasselbeck completed 22 of 35 passes for 271 yards and 4 touchdowns with 1 interception. Lynch added 131 rushing yards and a touchdown for Seattle.

What appeared likely to end in blow-out fashion ended with Green Bay marching down the field to wind down the game's final minutes and keep the red-hot Colts offense from having a chance to take the lead. After quarterback Peyton Manning found Jerome Pathon in the end zone to put the Colts within two points with just over two minutes remaining in the game, the Packers took control at their own 31-yard line. Instead of limiting the offense to rushing plays in order to take time off the clock, the Packers aggressively came out firing with a 22-yard completion to Schroeder as the two-minute warning approached. After a pass interference penalty was called on the Colts at the Indianapolis 47, the Packers then began pounding the line of scrimmage with Green. His consecutive runs of 19, 4, 5 and 2 yards left Green Bay with a first down at the Indianapolis 6-yard line, and Brett Favre was able to kneel down to use the final seconds and give his team a win. Refs make a horrible call at the end of first half that prevented the Packers from scoring
