TRANSGRESSION WAS ANNOUNCED, A MOVEMENT LOOKING TO TRANSFORM THE
VALUES BY BREAKING ALL TABOOS OF CINEMATIC EXPRESSION, CONSERVATIVE
RELIGION, POLITICS AND AESTHETICS. THE MOVEMENT, WHICH INCLUDED
SUCH NEW YORK LUNMINARIES AS NICK ZEDD, RICHARD KERN, LYDIA LUNCH,
JOE COLEMAN, SONIC YOUTH, JON SPENCER, FOETUS, CASANDRA STARK MELE,
TOMMY TURNER, DAVID MOJNAROWICZ, TESSA HUGHES-FREELAND, BETH B. ,
& LUNG LEG, WAS CHARCTERIZED BY A SCATHING PENCHANT FOR
ASSAULTING AUDIENCES WITH IMAGES OF EROTICISM, PAIN, SHAME, &
