Part ONE
‘MEN, MOVIES & CAROL’
From October 1994, this
CAROL BURNETT Special
also finds versatile stars
SCOTT BAKULA, BARRY BOSTWICK and
TONY BENNETT paying homage to film
male personalities. All in good fun, we ‘discover’
sex sold in the 1940’s; there was murder and mystery
and comedy (eg: Carol mimics Cher in a take-off on her
character in ‘Moonstruck’) but there was also a whole
lot of music and dancing in movies! TONY performs
great songs introduced in film. At the close, the
principal guests portraying staff in a café,
suddenly transform the scene and become
singing waiters. A bevy of the great songs
from MGM musicals are performed and acted out.
A wonderfully entertaining 43 minutes. (Pic. 8 of 10)
(NOTE: Program is apparently missing the brief musical intro,
It is as it aired ( minus commercials) in my area's telecast)

Part two
‘I LOVE MEN
From November 1983 - The ladies –
glamorous television personalities of the era – reveal
the ins and outs of the male persona. Be they in sport
or the entertainment industry, all past and present are critiqued in comedic skits and songs. Headed by DONNA MILLS, BOBBI BENTON, LESLIE UGGAMS, GLORIA LORING, MADAM (a WOW!) and ably assisted by Judy Carne, Terry Moore, Ursula Andres, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Phyllis Diller, Sandau Bergman and others, it’s ego-busting fun. The men having to withstand the assault and offering a defense include JEFF CONAWAY, TED SHACKELFORD, and many others including ‘Calender Guys’ David Hasselhoff, Bruce Penhall, Geoffrey Scott, Tom Wopat, Stacey Keach, Bruce Boxleitner, Byron Allen, Stuart Damon, Herve Villechaiz, Mr T…more..
You won’t believe some of their responses to:
‘One thing I would never tell a woman’ and
‘most embarrassing moment’
To soothe the ‘hurt’ in romantic song, none other than
ANDY GIBB
is called on to deliver
‘I Want To Be Your Everything’
Enjoy this sexy & ribald 45 minute fest. (Pic. 7.5 of 10)
