BETAVILLE (1986) - A fun play on Godard's Alphaville full of cheap-o futuristic gags that still work, Betaville is one of the few highly-hyped underground spoofs that delivers. wittenstein's right arm Steve O is funny as the noir dick and underground vet Holly Adams (Nymphomania & Kern's Horoscope) oozes pixie charm. This is a keeper for sure and a rare light comedy amidst it's grimy New York underground brethren. Voted one of Film Threat magazine's 25 underground films you must see. (30 minutes)
