UP FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION THIS STUNNING ANTIQUE TAYLOR, TUNNICLIFFE AND COMPANY STAFFORDSHIRE, PEBBLED AND PARCEL-GILT EARTHENWARE BISCUIT JAR MOUNTED IN SILVER-PLATE - BEAUTIFULLY DONE CIRCA: 1875-1898 -  VERY RARE AND HARD TO FIND ITEM AND VERY BEAUTIFUL! THIS BISCUIT JAR WOULD MAKE A ELEGANT CLASSY ADDITION TO ANYONE'S COLLECTION OF ANTIQUES OR DECOR - THESE ARE HARD TO FIND !!Taylor, Tunnicliff  & Co. The company was founded in 1867 by Thomas Taylor and William Tunnicliff  in Hanley, Staffordshire, England. The pottery made humidors, biscuit jars, fairy lamp bases, and other items from 1868 to 1898. After 1898 the company specialized in making ceramics for the electrical industry. The company is now called Taylor Tunnicliff Ltd. and is located in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent.Backstamped as per picture with the Taylor Tunniclffe emblem we believe was used 1875-98. The company were based in Staffordshire England and stopped producing decorative wares in 1898. The number 6009 is also markedBeautifully decorated with a very pale peachy blush effect and a lovely shaped body which is decorated all around.EPGS rim  with a lovely shaped handle we think and the lid is marked with makers SFE & Co.A very stylish item.          Condition          Good but as would be expected there is crazing to the body with age. Please refer to pics 2 & 3 which show the crazing has stained on the underneath and bottom of interior but this does nt show on the surface so does not spoil the piece.          Dimensions (approx)          Height base to rim 6.5 ins          diameter rim to rim 4.5ins
