The PS3 was made for an operating system to be installed on it. If you look in your system settings on the PS3 their is an option to install another Operating system and yellow dog was the first and the best operating system designed specifically for the PS3. anymore questions feel free to ask thanks.  If you buy this software and it does not work for you I will personally give a refund but I know it works because I am using it right now.
