WE ARE PLEASED TO OFFER THIS U.S. NAVY GUN MOUNT SIGHT TO YOU VINTAGE MILITARY OPTICS COLLECTORS.  LISTING LOTS OF ESTATE PIECES.  I want to clearly state that we know nothing at all about this kind of collectable artifact.  It is marked US NAVY BU ORD TELESCOPE MARK 74  MOD I INSP H T M NO. 44577 MPLS. HONEYWELL REC. CO. MPLS. MINN 1944.  SO THIS WAS DURING THE WORLD WAR II PERIOD. Has US with anchor in middle.  Would think this would be a TERRIFIC edition to a MILITARY WARFARE COLLECTION.  IF YOU WOULD LIKE MORE PICTURES I WOULD BE VERY GLAD TO SEND THEM.A terrific eBayer just sent us this note: This might interest you. Your scope is a Navy big gun sight. Depends on who you talk to as to exactly which guns but probably 5 inch and larger. Saw one of these in a movie shot on a U. S. battle ship. It was on the bridge and had been stripped of paint to the brass and highly polished. They were probably used throughout WW II on a wide variety of ships. When we purchased this we were told that it was on a Submarine. No wonder my husband couldn't find any information on that. Another great iOffer story.  PLEASE CHECK THE OTHER ITEMS WE HAVE LISTED.
