TRIPODS - 1984-85 Sci-Fi Tv Series A top notch sci-fi series from the UK. Giant metal machines called TRIPODS have taken control of the Earth. They have destroyed all the large cities and all but the most basic technology. At age 17 all youths are "capped" where a metal plate is inserted into the brain. This device is used to maintain control over the people. Three young men decide this is not for them and escape to find the fabled White Mountains where free men live. The series follows the adventures of the boys as they join the revolt against the TRIPODS. Good 80's style sci-fi. This set includes the complete series of 25 episodes on 5 discs. The set comes in plain dvd slips inside a bubble-pack envelope. Quality is a 8.5 -9. Make sure that your dvd player will accept dvd-r, dvd+r discs.
