Publisher:   Vanguard Press, New York 1976. ISBN: 081490775X, edition not stated. assumed to be 1st edition.  Good/Very good.  Ex-library, with very minimal markings, none on jaclet.  HC has edge & corner wear, light soiling outer edge of page, tape marks on cover & inside covers (from mylar cover removal?), front flyleaf has been excised. Interior pages clean & tight.  Jacket has light edgewear and a few small tears, tanning to edges, light soiling, not price clipped.

Ethan and Tom live in 1960's New London, Connecticut, but they long for the essence of the city's past; the great whalers, the magnificent sailing ships, the old and stately homes, the tree lined streets. Ethan's romantic obsession for the past causes him to lose touch with reality, while his friend Tom desperately tries to save him....
