Despite the great stories, amazing characters, and challenging bosses that every RPG game includes, RPG gamers always find something they’d like to change or do differently. With Agetec Inc. and Enterbrain’s RPG MAKER 3 for the PS2, gamers can create their very own adventure from the ground up, creating characters, monsters, scenarios, worlds, and more, limited only by their imagination. Gamers have three different editors at their disposal: the world editor, the character and item editor, and the story and rules editor. Each has been modified based on feedback from the previous RPG MAKER games to be incredibly user-friendly and intuitive, allowing even novice RPG makers to get started creating their own universe right away. Each of the editors includes basic templates so players don’t have to start from scratch. There are several different town templates, for example, that players can begin with. Then, by modifying building location, townspeople, etc., they can create a new town fairly quickly and easily. The dungeon editor is similar, allowing players to quickly make challenging lairs full of monsters. The character creator, likewise, allows players to modify every aspect of a character, be it a simple village NPC, a main character, or a boss. Gamers can change character classes, increase or decrease stats, add special attacks and abilities, and even modify their appearance. Many other editors and options are available in RPG MAKER 3, allowing RPG fans to truly create their own universe and then share it with friends.
