The following listing is for a very nice vintage painting. I believe it to be from the early part of the 1900s? The painting is done on academy or artist board. I'm unsure of the origin. The birds, scenery, trees, etc., suggest a Southwestern flavor, but there is also something that looks bamboo-ish. Possibly Japanese? It does have a sort of tropical air, but I don't believe the birds to be exotic, as would be found in a tropical region. I welcome any thoughts you may have on this. This is secured by early round nails, with some early style finish nails as well. The painting is in good condition. There is very little wear on the painting itself, with some wear to the frame as expected from age and handling. It's signed WULSER or W ULSER, with a stylized 'X' incorporated in the tail of the 'R'. It measures approximately 49 3/4" tall by about 28 1/4" wide. Questions are welcome, as well as requests for additional photos.
