Miniature Crock Crockery Bowl Made
in USA Oven Ware Like McCoy Hull Watt Ohio Potteries
This little crock or bowl is not one I recognize, but it
looks like Ohio clay and made in the style of Watt or McCoy, or
maybe Hull. It is about 2 1/16 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches across
the top. It has a design on the side that is Art Deco reminiscent
of Native Americana. It is marked on the bottom with a single
circle and Made in U.S.A. Oven Ware.
This bowl has some flaws typical of these pieces, including
a black spot on the inside and a couple of other marks that look
like it sat on firing pins on the INSIDE. There are also firing pin
marks on the OUTSIDE rim.
The rim is unglazed, as is the parallel angle below the 3/4
inch band. It has a few little specks of glaze that are missing
there where the drop-off is. There are no cracks, chips, chunks, or
similar damage. It seems to be more the brown of the picture of the
bottom on my monitor. You get the actual piece in the picture. If
