This DVD is another of the Dean Martin Roast series of the mid-70s and early 80s.  Dino kicks off the roast with a few comments as usual, starting off the Lucy roast by saying they didn't have enough room for all of Lucy's friends, so they just invited her enemies.

The first roaster introduced is Phyllis Diller, then Dan Rowan and Dick Martin as a team (always) and then Ruth Buzzi starts right out beating Dean with her purse and saves a swat for Lucy as she takes the podium in her frequent "Gladys Ormsby" character.

Bob Hope follows the purse-beating, then Dean reads "telegrams" from people who couldn't make it (Fidel Castro, in this case), and then turns over the podium to Milton Berle.  Lucy's hubby Gary Morton makes a comment or two, followed by co-star Gale Gordon, Totie Fields, and Rich Little, the "human xerox machine."

Henry Fonda and Ginger Rogers are followed by Lucy's "High School beau," Foster Brooks, and Nipsey Russell with his trademark rhymes.  Jack Benny is up next, and brief remarks from Vivian Vance precede the last roaster, Don Rickles.  He's followed by a string of clips from movies or the TV series, then Lucy gets up to make the closing remarks and thank yous.

The Danny Thomas roast starts off with Dino's opening remarks, then Jimmie Walker, Charo, Red Buttons, "wires" from Muhammed Ali, remarks from Harvey Korman, and Charlie Callas as "Dr Charlatan Callas."  Gene Kelly is followed by "Danny's long-time lover," Gladys Ormsby who announces she has a new lover, and runs to Charlie, ripping his shirt half-off and carrying him off piggy bank while the roasters howl.

Nipsey Russell follows that madness, with Dena Deitrich following.  (She did the '"not nice to fool Mother Nature" commercials of the 70s and also played a nurse on Danny's series, The Practice).  "Humble" Howard Cosell carries on, followed by Jan Murray, Don Knotts, and Orson Welles.  Lucille Ball and Milton Berle end the roasting, and Danny wraps it up.
