About the Show
The littl' Bits follows the adventures
of the tiny pixies of Foothill Forest. Willibit, Lillibit, and
their friends spend their days playing in the forest or helping
their fellow villagers with their daily work. Time would move along
peacefully, perhaps aside from Willibit and the spoiled mayor's son
Snagglebit constantly arguing over Lillibit's affection. But the
children's well-meaning curiosity and eagerness often gets them
into perilous predicaments. The smallest of the littl' bits
frequently find themselves venturing away from the adults into
dangerous places to solve the mysteries of the forest, to help
their animal friends, or to see for themselves all the miracles
nature has to offer. Luckily, despite being so small, the littl'
bits have sizable amounts of courage. They persevere through their
troubles and learn some lessons along the way.
The Littl' Bits was originally produced in 1980 in Japan by
Tatsunoko Productions under the name of "Mori no Yogi na
Shojintachi: Berufi to Rirubitto" or "Cheerful Dwarves of the
Forest: Belfy and Lillibit." The English version produced by Saban
made its way to American TV in 1991, and the 26-episode series
aired on Nickelodeon as a part of Nick Jr. until 1995. The Littl'
Bits, like other cartoons airing at the time (The Smurfs, Maya the
Bee) followed the premise of tiny characters living in a full-sized
world. But it featured some heartwarming and even heartbreaking
moments that made its little characters stand out as nothing short
of lovable.

Lyrics to the Theme Song:
Come join the fun with the Littl' Bits
They're all around, our Littl' Bits
And I know that there's a lesson to be learned
Come watch the Littl' Bits, and you will understand
They're full of love, our Littl' Bits
Sometimes I wish I was a Littl' Bit
'Cause with a little bit of love, the world can be
A better place for you and me
We're the Littl' Bits
We're the Littl' Bits
We're the Littl' Bits
Cause with a little bit of love, the world can be
A better place for you and me

About the DVDs
The Littl' Bits is available in a set
of four DVDs containing twenty-two episodes from the cartoon series
and includes a professional DVD case featuring quality custom cover
art and an episode list insert. Each DVD has menus with sound for
easy selection of episodes, which have been conveniently put into
chronological order. The Littl' Bits is available for the very
first time on DVD from The Stuff I Like Site only.
This set comes on DVD-R, which will play on almost all DVD
players as well as a computer with a DVD-ROM drive and appropriate
DVD-viewing software. I use only genuine top quality DVD-R media
from Verbatim, Sony, or TDK for maximum quality and
compatibility.
The quality ranges from
eight to nine-and-a-half out of ten (see the
screen capture links above for examples). This is the highest
quality set available, and in fact, the
only set available at this time. I spent years of my life
searching for episodes and months capturing, digitally restoring,
and converting the series to DVD format for the first time ever.
This ensures quality every time you watch, unlike VHS tapes, which
deteriorate over time. My set is famously the most complete
collection of The Littl' Bits episodes out there, and second to
none in quality.
