The hair is obtained from the tail of the Kolinsky a species of weasel rather than an actual Sable.

It is pale red in colour with darker tips. These kolinsky sable brushes have superior strength, slenderness, and resiliency when compared with other sable brushes.

I have used these brushes for some time now and have been very pleased at the results I have achieved on my professonal figure painting and I believe they represent good value for the quality

They are also very durable if cared for and cleaned after each painting session.
