Feedback, Zero and negative feedback

Non-Paying Bidders

You must be certain you want/can pay for the item before you commit to buy. As soon as you commit to buy then ebay charges the seller a commission and the item is taken 'off sale,' preventing anyone else from buying it. If you then fail to pay then this means you have prevented someone who was prepared to pay from buying the item; the seller has to pay ebay the commission and the seller then has to pay to relist the item. If a buyer fails to pay they will receive a 'payment reminder' sent via ebay and if there is still no response a 'non paying bidder alert' will be filed with ebay and a 'strike' will be set against the buyers account. Three strikes and ebay will suspend the buyer indefinitely.
