This wonderful capote type turn of the century horse hair coat is in really pretty good shape [compared to most of this type I have seen]. It was made by COWNIE TANNING CO. DES MOINES, IA. and the historical society there told me they thought it went out of business during the depression. It is approximately size 42 and is 54" long with approx. 22" shoulder and sleeves have an inside sweater cuff - 24" sleeves. The quilted liner is in great condition and the matching Horse hide gauntlet mittens are also in good shape! Museum Quality!
