Product Description

The Amish call this basket an "'Easter Basket". And perfectly named. It's the perfect size for that annual Easter Egg Hunt. No need to buy a new basket each year, these are not only sturdy, but can be passed down as a family heirloom for future Easter Egg Hunts. Grandparents, this makes a GREAT Easter gift for your grandchildren. These baskets are made by an Amish family in southern Minnesota.

Each basket is made with reed strips hand woven around wooden slats. The reed is dampened to make it pliable for weaving. The wooden slats are attached to a solid wood bottom. The basket is then baked in a wood stove, varnished and set in the sun to dry.

The dimensions (bottom) of this basket are approximately 17 inches x 11 inches x 4 1/2 inches tall. It has two swing handles and a solid wood bottom.

Colors available are burgundy and green stripes on plain; blue and burgundy on plain; blue and green stripes on plain; green stripes on plain; blue stripes on plain; burgundy stripes on plain; or plain with no colors.  Please specify color(s) when ordering.

All Baskets available in the store are custom made.  Although most items do ship within 2 weeks, please allow up to 4 weeks for shipment.
