I have Modded PS2 Memory Cards which will allow you to play backup copies of games.

This will not effect your warranty or damage your unit any way whatsoever, no need to pry it open or install any mod chip.
If you have to send your unit for repair through Sony, they will never know the difference.

Number One Question I get is:

So all I have to do is plug the memory card in and it will allow me to play backups?

This does not work on the "NEWEST" PS2 slim, that has a built in power adapter. Model number SCPH-9000x PS2's Date code 8a is fine,  date code 8b's and datecode 8c and later won't work. All other PS2 should work.

Also I cannot guarantee any backups will play, besides my own. There is a procedure for burning.
