Dear friend, in the last two weeks,
two collectors have purchased 7 of my offerings each (14). There
must be a reason. A major news writer's article has stated that
EBay intends to do away with EBay Stores. So, it is very simple,
access such as EBay furnishes now will be lost. But you can still
utilize the great EBay Search function. Just follow the
instructions below, place your kin folk name in the search column
and it will reveal all the stories I have reported with that
name.
It's as simple as that.
Please visit our Store Page for an
easier search of all the listings we have to offer.
(Click above.)
In the left hand corner, insert the
name or subject you are searching for. Click on text and title
description, hit go and our offerings that contain the name or
subject you are searching for will appear.
Sooner or later - Genealogists are
going to realize that their family kinfolks are laying on some
dealer's dusty shelves. If I can contribute to finding one little
name or photo of that long lost ancestor you have been waiting to
find, - its worth all the time I spend.
LIFE AND DEATH
OF THE SLIM PRINCESS
By Paul Ditzel
“The Carson
& Colorado is the only railroad that begins nowhere, runs
nowhere, and ends nowhere, and stops all night to think it
over.â€
Quote of a flabbergasted big shot
railroad magnate from the East upon inspecting the Slim
Princess
“ And, of
course, there are the tales of how Slim Princess of The Carson
& Colorado got her name.â€
Some say cause of her long, slim
feminine lines of narrow 36-inch guage..
Others say because her builders
purposely protected her virginity by shying away from busy cities,
towns, and industries.
FACTUAL REPRESENTATION
NOT RETREAD HISTORY
Folks, this Grand Old Gal of the
Western Narrow Gauge Lines is now a memory. Her lines were torn up
and sold for scrap for bombs and tanks. But the fantastic memories
should not be forgotten. I was just lucky to find this story in an
old off-beat western magazine that is nearly 50 years old. Frankly,
the magazine is nearly worth what the price of the story. Here is
the story entitled
LIFE AND DEATH
OF THE SLIM PRINCESS
by the noted railroad author Paul
Ditzel who can spin a yarn with the best of ‘em.
There were many a western story published – the
common ones about Cowboys and Indians are listed on Ebay every day
but the rarer ones about the narrow gauges of the Old west are
seldom found. Collectors treasure them and their price guide value
rises every day. They are hard to find. I hunt them out because
really the better, untold and rarer stories were published in the
rest.
Here’s one of
‘em.
FOLLOWING PURCHASE AND PAYMENT, IF
YOU WILL WRITE ME OF YOUR SPECIAL NAME OR INTEREST, I WILL DO A

Following my retirement, I have
dedicated my remaining hours to indexing the Genealogy of our
western heroes. During my research, I discovered that thousands of
our kinfolk lay unfound and unrecognized on some book
dealer’s shelf gathering dust. Because Old
Western History and Memorabilia was printed before computer
indexing, I index every item I sell.
This complete index will be bound
and included in this offering at no additional cost.
Humbly, I am trying to keep our
history alive.
I hope you appreciate the
effort.

SLIM PRINCESS
By Paul Ditzel
NARROW GUAGE MEMORABILIA
IS RAPIDLY DISAPPEARING
While others
clip ads from magazines, I save history. It’s a
shame that our past is being lost. It’s as
simple as that.
My wife kids me
that after I find a piece I like, buy it, read it, research it,
take a picture, scan it, write the blurb, pay the Ebay entry fee
and commission, that I end up making about 50 cents an hour. But,
OH HOW I LOVE THIS OLD WESTERN HISTORY. What a story, Rare Story!!!
Great Pictures. You will love it as it was published in this old
complete and seldom found western magazine of many years ago. The
issue is in excellent condition, the cover is pristine and in
vibrant color.
As clearly
stated in my description, this is featured story in a rarely found
and seldom read unusual and complete western magazine. I don't give
out name of publication or date because I have caught competitors
copying my index and work and trying to sell it as theirs. I hope
you understand.
Buyer pays
postage of $3.50 First Class Postage to U. S., $4.50 to Canada.
$4750 Priority Mail. $11.00 Par Avion (Air Mail) for International
Mail. Texans must pay 8-¼ % sales tax. Thanks,
Tom
